3rd Meeting of Global Coalition for Social Justice (GCSJ) Coordination Group

Co-presided by Minister of Labour and Employment of Brazil Luiz MARINHO and Director General of ILO Gilbert F. HOUNGBO, the Coordination Group of Global Coalition for Social Justice convened online on 17 October 2025. The main agenda of the meeting was the assessment of progress in 14 areas of intervention carried out by the Coalition and the preparations for the Second World Social Development Summit to be organised in Doha on 4-6 November.

Ambassador Burak AKÇAPAR, our Permanent Representative in Geneva, who took the floor to represent our country at the meeting, stated that social justice is the moral and political basis of sustainable development. Informing on Türkiye’s endeavours within the scope of Coalition, AKÇAPAR emphasized that this approach is at the centre of national policies.
