The Third Round of Negotiations Held for the Signing of a Social Security Agreement Between Türkiye and Algeria


The third round of negotiations for the signing of a Social Security Agreement between our country and Algeria was held in Ankara between 24–26 June 2025.

During the negotiations in which the Turkish delegation was chaired by Ali AYBEY, Director General for Foreign Relations and the European Union and the Algerian delegation was cahired by Mohamed Islam DAHMRI, Director General of Social Security at the Algerian Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security, discussions were held on the draft of the Social Security Agreement between the two countries.

Throughout the negotiations, provisions regarding the coordination of insurance periods, premium payments, and the strengthening of mutual cooperation in the field of social security were addressed. The potential contributions of the agreement to the political and commercial relations between the two countries were also emphasized.

As a result of the three-day meeting, the main framework of the agreement was established marking a crucial step towards the implementation of the Social Security Agreement between the two countries.
