Officials from the Embassy of Japan Paid a Visit to Our Directorate General

On the occasion of the change of mission at the Embassy of Japan, Mr. KUMAHARA Wataru and Mr. KOBASHI Yasuyuki paid a visit to the Directorate General of Foreign Relations and the European Union on June 30, 2025.

During the visit, Mr. KUMAHARA stated that he would be handing over his position, which he has held since 2022, to Mr. KOBASHI, who will assume the role for the next three years.

Dr. Selim DAĞLIOĞLU, the Acting Deputy Director General for Foreign Relations and the European Union, thanked Mr. KUMAHARA for his contributions to the negotiation process of the Türkiye–Japan Social Security Agreement and wished Mr. KOBASHI success in his new role.

During the meeting held between the delegations, goodwill was expressed regarding the development of bilateral relations, and views were exchanged on the ongoing negotiation process of the Social Security Agreement between Türkiye and Japan.
