Minister Işıkhan received Hamit Demir, personnel of our Directorate General, Who Won the Gold Medal at Para-Karate Category in “Türkiye Karate Championship of the Elders, Hearing-Impaired, Para-Karate and Veterans”

Employed at our Directorate General since 2012 and owner of 95 medals internationally and nationally in swimming, our national swimmer Hamit Demir achieved yet another success in the branch.

Hamit Demir, who is physically disabled by birth, became Türkiye champion at “para-karate” category in Türkiye karate championship, which was organized in Trabzon on 21-23 February 2025 and in which 499 sportspersons competed. Demir stated that his following goal was to achieve further success by representing our country in international arena at his best in karate, same as in swimming branch.

Receiving our personnel Hamit Demir, who has a great deal of success in swimming and is winner of many medals in his career, Minister Işıkhan was generally informed on the championship, having congratulated our personnel on his success and stating that our citizens with disabilities were provided with support in every aspect of life.
