Our Directorate General Attended the Tripartite National Workshop themed “Maritime Labour Convention (MLC, 2006)”

The Tripartite National Workshop themed “Ratification and Implementation of Maritime Labour Convention (MLC, 2006)” was held on 15-17 October 2025 in cooperation with International Labour Organisation (ILO), International Training Centre of the ILO (ITC-ILO) and Seafarers’ Foundation of International Transport Workers’ Federation (ITF).

The workshop was initiated with the keynote speech delivered by Director General of Foreign Relations and European Union Al Aybey titled “What is our position in the Ratification Process of MLC 2006?” Within the scope of the event, an overview on the implementation of MLC 2006 was shared and practices of countries setting example were addressed.

The workshop concluded after the presentation of certificates by the Director of Türkiye Office of ILO Mr. Yasser A. Hassan to participants, comprising ILO, social parties, relevant public institutions and representatives from our Ministry.
