The Delegation of Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany Visited our General Directorate

The delegation comprising representatives from the Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany, AFC Development Bank (KfW Bank) and German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) visited Directorate General for Foreign Relations and European Union.     The meeting, which was attended by representatives from our Directorate General as well as Social Security Institution, Turkish Employment Agency and Directorate General of International Labour Force along with the delegation of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany, focused on information exchange between the sides on the activities performed and projects implemented on migration and employment in particular.

Providing information on the activities performed within the context of countries hosting refugees, the head of the delegation stated that the German Government appreciated the efforts exerted by Türkiye from the outset of the crisis in Syria.

Later on, our Director General presented current information on Türkiye’s employment market. He also added that at present our missions abroad render service to Turkish citizens in Europe in particular.

At the end of the meeting, the significance of the cooperation between German authorities and our institutions was emphasized and assessments were made during the meeting on prospective cooperation and projects for the upcoming period. A declaration of common will was also put forth for the continuation of the present  cooperation in a vigorous manner in the upcoming period.
