Deputy Minister Faruk Özçelik Hosted IOM Director General Amy Pope

Deputy Minister Faruk Özçelik hosted Amy Pope, Director General of the International Organization for Migration (IOM), and her delegation at our Ministry on August 6, 2026.

During the meeting, the collaborative activities between our Ministry and the IOM were discussed. The IOM delegation highlighted Türkiye’s humanitarian approach to people who have been forced to leave their countries due to various conflicts. The parties also made assessments regarding potential projects and opportunities for cooperation that could be carried out jointly in the upcoming months.
