Our General Directorate Held a Strategy Development and Planning Workshop

Within the scope of the “Technical Assistance for Institutional Capacity Development under the Implementation of the Employment, Education, and Social Policies Sectoral Operational Program (EESP SOP) – Phase III,” which is co-financed by the European Union and the Republic of Türkiye, our General Directorate organized a Strategic Planning and Development Workshop.

The workshop, chaired by our Deputy Director General Dr. Selim Dağlıoğlu, was held between 15 and 17 April 2026 and attended by staff members from the Directorate General.

The workshop addressed the institution’s current activities and the roles that it could undertake in the future. As part of the discussions, the “Center of Excellence” approach was evaluated as a model that would strengthen the institution’s capacity for knowledge production and policy development.

Priorities for developing institutional capacity were also identified during the workshop in the key areas of expertise that our General Directorate focuses on: fund and project management, research and policy development, training and consulting, collaboration and coordination, and communication and visibility.

The feasibility and sustainability of this approach within the institutional framework were also discussed during the program. It was noted that significant steps have been taken to help the institution achieve a more effective and data-driven structure based on the outcomes achieved.
